Neeraj Chopra was born in Khandra village, PANIPAT  District in Haryana  to his parents Satish Kumar and Saroj Devi. He has graduated from a college in Chandigarh and is now pursuing Bachelor of arts from a college  in Jalandhar, Punjab.

Neeraj Chopra is best known  for his stunning throw of 87.58m in the javelin final. Neeraj Chopra works for Indian Army. Chopra was also recommended for Khel Ratna Award.

Chopra was selected for a throw of 81.04 meters on 2015 for junior category which was his first throw of 80m.

He also set a world record at the 2016 IAAF Under the age limit of 20 and achieved in winning gold for 86.48m.

At the Doha Diamond League in 2018, Chopra broke the national record with a throw of 87.43m.

He excelled his records with a throw of 88.06m by securing a gold medal at the Asian Games, 2018.

It was India’s first gold at the Asian Games for the javelian throw.

Chopra is also known as the man with golden arms who brought prestige and grandeur to India.

Johannes Vetter,28 year old German has given his best performances during his past years.

On 4h August Vetter threw 82.04 m and 82.08 m in his first two attempts during the sunny and humid climate at Tokyo.

Neeraj Chopra secured with the throws of 87.03m and 87.58m whereas the Vetter struggled to get to 85m.

Neeraj Chopra is best known for his javelin throw which created a history by achieving the first athlete from India to win Gold in Olympics.
